Why did you hire a business coach?

I was at a point in my life where I was doing very well in my career, but my work/life balance was suffering miserably. I was self-employed and had no one to talk through issues with or anyone to hold me accountable to my goals. I was a workaholic and found that I was not effectively managing my time. A business coach was exactly what I needed to help me improve my work habits and navigate through several large decisions ahead.

What types of results have you seen since working with your coach?

I worked with my coach for about a year. Early on he helped me to focus on my high payoff activities each day and to set goals for myself,in both my professional and personal life. We worked extremely hard at focusing on my activities during the business day to ensure I was being as productive as possible, so that my work/life balance would improve. Through this process I came to the realization that I was in the wrong industry. No matter how hard I focused on my productivity to improve my life balance, I just wasn't going to be happy. My coach helped me as I transitioned into a new career where I am now more focused and intentional about each activity I do throughout the day. I make the most of my time during the day so that I can go home to my family at night. I feel like a new person!

Have you accomplished any major life or business goals? If so, what?

While I was enrolled in the Effective Personal Productivity program, and the months following, I saw large production increases every single month. I truly believe that my success can only be contributed to the Leadership Resources process and the time spent with my coach. The process made me refocus my energy on the things that mattered most each and everyday. My coach knew my goals and he encouraged me, holding me accountable to reach each and every one of them.

When I started working with Leadership Resources, my number one goal was to obtain a better work/life balance - and I did! I learned more effective work habits and reevaluated my values according to what's most important to me. That's a goal worth celebrating!

Would you recommend coaching to others? Why?

Yes! I would highly recommend a business coach. My coach had years of experience in several industries, and was very well connected in the community which I was able to benefit from. Not only did he care about me as an individual, but he wasn't afraid to push me to the edge in order for me to grow.  A coach won't just tell you what to do, he will listen as you begin a process of self-discovery regarding some of the things you need to do - then he stays by your side for the entire process, cheering you on, all the way to the finish line. I felt supported every step of the way and better yet, I gained a great friend in the process.
