Why do you enjoy being a part of the Leadership Resources Team?

We are a passionate, focused and committed team who believe in positively changing the lives of individuals and organizations' integrity.

What is the most interesting part of your job?

One, networking and meeting individuals and company leaders and helping them to discover the value of growing personally and as organization to maximize their individual and team potential. Secondly is the one-on-one coaching.

What was your first job?  What did it teach you?

I had two paper routes simultaneously, The Beloit Daily News and the Rockford Morning Star. It provided me with a strong work ethic and commitment to complete a job and task no matter the weather or conditions. We were in essence individual business owners! We had to do our own collection, keep records and send in payments. If we did not collect or came up short, it came out of our own pockets. It also taught me sacrifice as I was not able to participate in after school activities or sports.

What is your favorite product/service at Leadership Resources?

Favorite product is Strategic Business Planning with the succession component. Favorite service is coaching.

Do you have a favorite book? If so, what is it?

Yes! First is the Bible; second is anything on the history of Abraham Lincoln. I am reading a 5 volume series from the early 1920's by Carl Sandburg.

What do you do when you're not working at Leadership Resources?

Spending time with Karen, my wife of 50 years who just retired after 30 years of home daycare. I'm involved with Christian Business Men's Connection spending time with and mentoring and developing young men spiritually. Also, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.

Anything else to add?

I enjoy walking and hiking, and just signed up with Karen to walk the Lincoln 1/2 marathon. I've done the race several times.  I like to play golf too! I'm also involved at our church in Strategic Visioning.
