Dan Sedor is a valuable component of the Leadership Resources team as a partner, coach and facilitator. His devotion to professional development is built on years of experience in the world of business and community involvement. Within the organization, Dan is responsible for directing the efforts of the implementation team, including strategic planning facilitation, program facilitation, coaching, and organizational accountability.
His background includes 25 years in areas such as sales management, human resources and engineering positions. Having worked for three international corporations, Dan has personally trained and presented to over 10,000 business professionals.
As an award winning facilitator, he continues to exemplify superior leadership qualities within the organization. Dan’s ability to engage audiences as well as manage and facilitate personality differences places him ahead of the competition. Always seeking a solution, his optimism and patience are standout qualities noticed by employees and clients alike.
Dan’s experience as a facilitator and coach at Leadership Resources, coupled with his extensive experience as a coach of youth sports motivated him to write his first book titled, MODEL Coach, a guide for coaches of youth sports, published in 2008. He has plans to complete another book in the MODEL book series during the next several years.
As an industrial engineering graduate from Iowa State University, Dan now lives in the middle of Husker country and is proud to call Nebraska his home. Including the nonprofits he works with as a Leadership Resources facilitator, he volunteers his time to other groups including Southwood Lutheran Church, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, the Lincoln Independent Business Association, the Better Business Bureau, Nebraska Workforce Development, and other leadership-focused organizations. As a graduate of Leadership Lincoln, he also donates his time to Leadership Lincoln and Youth Leadership Lincoln.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with his wife Karen and children Brad and Amanda. He also has a healthy love for country music, Settlers of Catan, and good old-fashioned barbeque.
