Leadership Resources was started as a franchise of Leadership Management Institute in the fall of 2002. Through a trusted friend, Boyd Ober was presented with the opportunity to engage in professional development services. He chose to test the product by selling a few programs, then facilitating and coaching to personally witness the impact of the process on the participants. Convinced by the short-term results and coupled with a desire to work with people to develop their leadership skills, Boyd Ober launched Leadership Resources, LLC in January of 2003. Joined by partner, Dan Sedor, Boyd and Dan worked hard to establish Leadership Resources as a source of long-term results in the training and development industry.
With the addition of several key members of the team, including sales associates, an executive assistant, and a marketing director, the company has seen consistent growth over the last eight years. Adding strategic partners such as Profiles International and Aaron Davis Presentations, Leadership Resources continues to expand their service offerings to include professional development processes, executive coaching, strategic planning, workshops, and managing directors.
By partnering with Rex Houze, Leadership Resources participated in the first product launch of its kind, releasing “The Natural Selling Process” as a 12-month development program designed to increase results of sales professionals through behavior modification and tracking.
In 2010, the Omaha, NE field office was opened and two associates were assigned to that office to launch the cultivation of the Omaha market. The company has been the recipient of several awards, both from Leadership Management Institute as well as organizations such as the Better Business Bureau in the Lincoln/Omaha area.
